Covid-19 (Corona) Vaccine Apply In Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, the coronavirus vaccination program has officially started in the country on Sunday 8th February. At the outset, frontline workers and citizens over 40 years of age will be vaccinated.
This age limit was earlier fixed at 55 years but it has been reduced again. People over the age of 40 can go to any government hospital and get vaccinated.
However, if you want to get vaccinated, you have to register your name through the official website. Earlier, an app was supposed to be launched but now it is not working.
Covid-19 Vaccine Registration App ‘Surakkha’
The makers of “Surakkha” – the application made for online registration of Covid-19 vaccine recipients – have said that they are all set to finish developing the app by January 25 by following all necessary testing.
The authorities concerned, however, are yet to decide on the launching date for this app – which will mark the beginning of Bangladesh’s vaccination efforts. But sources have suggested that it may be January 26.

Speaking to Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday, ICT Division Senior Secretary NM Zeaul Alam, said: “Testing of the app will be done within January 23.
People can download the “Surakkha” app from the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. They can also use the link – www.surakkha.gov.bd – to complete the online registration for the Covid-19 vaccine.
While starting their registration through the “Surakkha” app or website, people will have to provide their names, addresses, NID card numbers, history of comorbidity diseases, Covid-19 test reports (if any), vaccine consent, among other information.
Once that is done, an OTP (one-time-password) will be provided to a vaccine candidate’s mobile number with which he/she will be able to finish the process of registration.
This database will be a unified one for both public and private vaccination efforts.

Step 1: Connect the phone to the internet
Step 2: Go to Play Store and search for the app by its name
Step 3: Download the app
Step 4: Open the app and grant location, Bluetooth, and other permissions
Step 5: Enter the phone number and verify it by using the one-time password (OTP)
Step 6: Complete the set-up by answering the questions, including those related to your travel history, etc.
Step 7: Take the assessment before you start using the app
How to Register to Get the Corona Vaccine
Those interested in getting the corona vaccine must register on the web portal ‘Suraksha’ (www.surokkha.gov.bd). Registration can also be done by downloading the security mobile app from Android or Apple Play Store.
Go there and click on the ‘Register’ button to select the type first. Then you have to give the National Identity Card (NID) number, date of birth (according to NID). Registration is not possible without a national identity card. People under the age of 18 will not be able to register.
If the information is given correctly, the name will show in Bengali and English. Then you have to give the mobile number. If there is a long-term disease or co-morbidity, it should be said. It is necessary to state whether the vaccinator is involved in any occupation or occupation related to Covid-19.
Lastly, the registration will be completed if the current address of the vaccinator and the center where he/she wants to be vaccinated is given.
